I teach Environmental Science and Advanced Placement Environmental Science. The USB Camera and Microscope Adapter would be an amazingly helpful tool to bring to my classroom. We would be able to analyze water samples for microinvertebrates and macroinvertebrates and could even use the information to assess water quality for Adopt-a-Stream. We could also use the camera and microscope to look at soil and sand samples as well as perform toxicology experiments on microscopic organisms like vinegar eels and daphnia. Such a tool would not only expose my students to the microscopic world, but would also allow them to become more comfortable with emerging technology. I could even integrate the arts into my classroom by having students capture micrscopic pictures and create collages.
