I have a visually impaired student who uses an ipad for any smartboard activities so that he can see what I'm doing on the smartboard (we use a program called join.in). This would be great for times when he is writing, but needs to be able to look at the ipad as well. Right now he has to lift the ipad to look at what is on the screen, put it down to write, and back and forth as needed. He would be able to have the ipad in a way to see it and write without having to pick it up repeatedly.
