I teach in a low socioeconomic section of Lowell, which is considered a Gateway City. We have over 90% of our students on free or reduced lunches. Many of our students are newcomers to this country who are placed in our school not knowing how to read, speak or understand any English at all. We must find ways to differentiate our lessons to reach all students. I do not have any technology in my class that can help these students understand directions to complete tasks. Since teaching by demonstration is helpful to them, I feel that the IPEVO Point 2 View Doc Camera would be a great help to these kids along with the rest of the students. Also, the school just received a cart with 30 IPads to share among all of us and it would be great to have a keyboard for any students who may have trouble using a touchscreen. We also have a Life Skills class that have students with disabilities that would benefit greatly from having a keyboard and stand to go with them. Any amount would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
