Currently, all regular education classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards and the students are accustomed to learning with technology...until they enter the art room. Funds in our district ran out. I have a personal iPad that I rarely utilize in the classroom due to a lack of technological resources. My students would benefit from a document camera and wireless station because I could demonstrate a variety of art techniques and the students would be able to see more clearly. Currently they all huddle around a table to see the demonstration, but what tends to happen is more misbehavior than learning. I would also be able to utilize my iPad and art related apps for student learning. These products would open a new learning environment for my students and relate to their already technology based world.
