Frequently Asked Questions

  • You need to have iOS 11 or above.

  • You need to have Android 8 or above.

  • Please check the status of your Wi-Fi network and relaunch iDocCam.

  • Check that you have not accidentally press the Freeze button on iDocCam

  • Check that you have not accidentally press the Screen Off button on iDocCam or/and have not set iDocCam to auto screen off mode.

  • Click the Info & Settings button located at the bottom right of iDocCam. Then go to “Access Account”, and click “Reset to default” located at the bottom right to reset your password.

  • You can do so by following the steps below:
    1. Launch iDocCam on your smartphone.
    2. Connect your smartphone to an external screen via HDMI/VGA. You'll now see the live images on the external screen.

    To use this feature, you'll need to get a Lightning to HDMI/VGA adapter.

  • You can do so by following the steps below:
    1. Connect your Apple TV to an external screen.
    2. Connect your iPhone and Apple TV to the same Wi-Fi network.
    3. Launch iDocCam and open up AirPlay on your iPhone.
    4. Select Apple TV as the device to connect your iPhone to for AirPlay. You'll now see the live images on the external screen.

    Note: If you're using a 4th generation or above version of Apple TV, there's no need to connect your iPhone and Apple TV to the same Wi-Fi network for AirPlay.

  • You can do so by following the steps below:
    1. Install iDocCam on your smartphone.
    2. Grab another device and install IPEVO Visualizer on it. You can use a Mac, PC, Chromebook, iOS/Android devices, or 4th generation and above version of Apple TV.
    3. Connect your smartphone and the device to the same Wi-Fi network.
    4. Launch iDocCam and Visualizer, respectively.
    5. Choose your smartphone as the camera source in Visualizer.

    Note: For Android phone users, you can only use iDocCam with the Mac, PC, Chromebook, iOS, or Android version of IPEVO Visualizer.

  • Please try the following:
    1. Turn on the Wi-Fi hotspot feature on your smartphone.
    2. Connect your computer to your smartphone's Wi-Fi hotspot.
    3. Launch iDocCam on your smartphone.
    4. Launch Visualizer on your computer and check whether your smartphone appears in the camera drop-down list or not.

  • For iPhone users, check that your iPhone and your computer (with Visualizer installed) are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. If the issue persists, try the following:
    1. Quit both iDocCam and Visualizer.
    2. Relaunch both iDocCam and Visualizer.
    3. Select your iPhone as the camera source in Visualizer again.

    For Android phone users,
    1. Quit both iDocCam and Visualizer.
    2. Using your computer, change the domain setting of your Wi-Fi network to private.
    3. Connect your smartphone and your computer to this private Wi-Fi network.
    4. Relaunch both iDocCam and Visualizer.
    5. Select your smartphone as the camera source in Visualizer again.

  • Please try the following:
    1. Place the Wi-Fi router nearer to your computer and smartphone.
    2. Check that there is no other Wi-Fi interference in the environment.
